Dave Hunter | Managing Director

Dave has over 30 years' experience working in hard rock underground mining across Australia and overseas. With a background in Safety Management and strong Safety values, Dave believes that Safety and Production go hand in hand.

Daves role includes the development and execution the company’s business strategies to attain the goals of our shareholders and customers, ensuring the company's Vision and Values are aligned with both shareholders and customers expectations and Industry Best Practice.

Stewart McLeod | Chief Operating Officer

Stewart brings 25 years of Safety and Operational experience in the contract mining business to his role at HMR. He oversees all aspects of company operations, engaging in strategic planning with the Board and leading the management team.

Over the last 8 years at the helm of HMR, Stewart’s passionate leadership has fostered the embrace of the company’s Vision and Values throughout the business, and driven HMR’s growth and performance through continuous improvement and the pursuit of operational excellence.

Devan taylor | Chief Financial Officer

A CPA with over 30 years of experience in financial management and operational finance, Devan is a key player in leading the implementation of strategic initiatives, managing financial performance, and driving company growth, working closely with senior management and the operations team.

Adam Caswell | Raiseboring and Shaftlining Manager

Adam brings to the business 25 years’ experience in the mining industry (hard rock) including over 20 years of raiseboring experience. Previously working for several contracting companies throughout Australia, Adam is a results driven, safety focused manager that adopts a relationship approach to the portfolios he manages. He also has a passion for improving safety in raiseboring operations.

Adam Phillips-Jones | Drilling Manager

With over 25 years in the drilling industry in Safety and Operational roles, Adam excels in developing strong working relationships with clients and communicating company Vision, Values and strategies across the business.

Adam, or APJ (as he is known) manages and monitors drilling projects safety, production and quality performance to ensure the wellbeing of our team and that HMR’s and our Client’s needs are met.

Donna Roberts | Administration & Finance Manager

Donna started the HMR business with the owners in 2008 and has been an integral part of its growth and success ever since.

Donna’s role encompasses financial control, accounts and injury management, and she leads the administrative and finance teams in their support services to all our projects. The embodiment of our Values, Donna’s business support is known across our employees, Clients and suppliers alike.

BEN MILLER | SHET Manager

Coming from a trades background, Ben has 19 years of experience in the mining industry, including 10 years in Safety roles. He is responsible for guiding and assisting the operations and management teams in all aspects of Safety and Health.

Providing visible Safety Leadership across the business, Ben’s focus is ensuring that HMR’s OH&S system is a modern, practical, robust and risk-based system which meets regulatory requirements and Australian Standards with the goal of providing a healthy, happy and safe working environment for our Team.

Andy RowAN | MAINTENANCE MANAGER

With 18 years in the drilling industry and 35 years in maintenance, Andy brings extensive knowledge & experience to the role. Providing support to operational sites to maintain equipment reliability, he manages the field and workshop technician teams and oversees scheduling and planning.

Andy is committed to the company Values and ensuring that HMR’s operations run smoothly and efficiently, minimizing downtime and maximising productivity for HMR and its stakeholders.

Samm HalmAN | MAINTENANCE MANAGER

Samm brings over 24 years of experience in underground mining as well as surface and underground exploration. His role includes maximising availability across the fleet whilst maintaining a safe and positive work environment.

Overseeing major and minor rebuilds and providing support, technical information, and training to the maintenance team, Samm also establishes and maintains strong working relationships with contractors and service providers to secure best prices, service, and turnaround times possible.
